This project included a complete remodel of the kitchen, laundry, and back entry of this rural ranch home in Winterset, Iowa. Morris Lare created an entirely reimagined space plan that incorporated an unfinished workroom behind the garage in order to create a new, light-filled laundry and mudroom. The existing kitchen expanded and opened up into the living room. The finish palette married the clients’ love of natural materials like white oak, with deep green cabinetry, black, and brass accents. A mix of traditional cabinetry with more modern elements keeps the space feeling fresh and youthful like the family it was designed for.
