Designer for a Day

We created our Designer for a Day service for our design loving, DIY enthusiast clients, who crave expert guidance and want to execute their interior design projects independently. It is power-packed with insights, making it perfect for projects that don’t quite fit the full service model but need more help than a two-hour strategy session.

With your budget and timeline in mind, we offer expert advice on how to reimagine or create your new space. Our designers will provide design expertise, practical guidance on budget, contractors, vendors, and actionable steps to make your design vision a reality.

Scheduling Options

Option 1

Two three-hour half-day sessions on consecutive mornings. This option allows for both us and you to process and gather information in between our two meeting times. Breaking the day up is also perfect for clients who may not be able to commit to a full day due to parenting or work requirements.

Option 2

One full, six-hour day (a three hour morning session and a three hour afternoon with an independent break for lunch midday). This option can work well for clients driving in from out of town or who want to devote a full day to making a big push on their project.

How You Can Use Designer for a Day

Meet at local showrooms to select finishes, fixtures, or other design elements for your renovation or new construction project.

Walk-through your new construction plan set room by room to identify potential opportunities or future issues.

Collaborate at our studio or a showroom to pull together a conceptual material palette for a new build or renovation.

Review your Pinterest boards in depth to identify your aesthetic and create a concept for your new build or renovation.

Sketch floor plan options for two to three rooms in your home.

Sketch design options for a focal point in your home such as a fireplace wall.

Create furniture layouts and a budget for up to three rooms.

Coordinate lighting or hardware options for your new build or renovation (limitations apply).

Advise on styling & accessorizing up to four spaces in your home.

Step 1: The Questionnaire

We’ve created a questionnaire just for potential clients interested in Designer for a Day. We love to get to know you and your goals for your home so that we can tailor our advice and expertise to your unique vision right from the beginning.

Step 2: The Discovery Call

Our complementary 20 minute Discovery Call is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other. You can ask your burning questions and The call will help us and you decide if Designer for a Day is the right fit.

Step 3: In-Home Consultation

Every design journey at Morris Lare kicks off with this foundational, prepaid consultation. This is a fact-finding mission where we gather all of the information we need to hit the ground running for your Designer for a Day.

Step 4: Designer for a Day

It’s time for the big day! On the morning of your session, we’ll be ready to dive in. Bring anything and everything you want to discuss or tackle throughout the day.
